Pengaruh Metode Ummi Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Al-Qur'an Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Islam El-Akhyaar Citeureup Bogor

Abstrak

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Ummi Method on the Quran reading ability of fourth-grade students at El-Akhyaar Islamic Primary School in Citeureup, Bogor. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study population consisted of 43 students, selected using saturated sampling. Data collection was conducted via a questionnaire on the implementation of the Ummi Method and the students' Quran reading ability. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 with tests for normality, linearity, simple regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination. The results showed a positive and significant effect of the Ummi Method on the students' Quran reading ability. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a calculated F-value of 19.052, which is higher than the critical F-value (1.684). The resulting regression equation is Y = 30.781 + 0.565X, indicating that each increase in the implementation of the Ummi Method will improve students' Quran reading ability. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.323 indicates that the Ummi Method contributes 32.3% to Quran reading ability, while other factors influence the remaining 67.7%. Therefore, the Ummi Method has proven effective in improving students' Quran reading ability through a simple, engaging, and emotionally resonant approach.
